babo botanicals review & giveaway 07/04/2010
![]() I, like most woman, have a weakness for bath and body products. Over the past 10 years, I have moved 5 times, each time I move at least 2 boxes of bath & body products and VOW to purge. That purge… still waiting for just the right time. However, those boxes of products are full of things that I really don’t love, but are still useful and so it seems wrong to get rid of them. For Zel, I’m taking the time to be picky about her b&b products. Skin is the largest organ so if I’m going to be careful about the things that enter her body… I best start with what goes on her skin. Babo Botanicals are the epitome of what I was looking for. The founder, Kate, has worked for larger companies and has created this product with the highest expectations and standards. Spend a few minutes on their website and I’m sure you’ll agree that she’s doing all the hardwork, we’re simply reaping the benefits! (Please “Read More” for product review and giveaway!) We (Zel, age almost 1, and I) received the Cucumber Aloe Vera Clean Sport Shampoo & Wash and the Oatmilk Calendula Moisturizing Body Lotion to review. The smells are delish! The body lotion smells fresh, organic, a little crunchy, a little baby. Poor girl has started swatting at my nose ‘cause I’ve been “all up in her grill” since the lotion arrived! The shampoo & wash smells great in the bath and is absolutely gentle enough for Zel’s eyes (which are always open). Zel and I swim at least once a week and I love that this product was formulated to really remove the chlorine while conditioning her hair and skin. It was developed at the professional salon quality level and is color safe for mama’s hair. The other day when the only way I was going to get a shower without listening to screams, was to bring Zel into the shower with me, I tried it out. I found the smell a bit too fruity for my taste, but my hair was so soft and smooth afterwards! I may be tempted to use it many more times. (I’m eager to try the UV Conditioning Spray from the same line. I have a fair skinned, mostly bald baby who hates wearing hats… this could be the answer to much frustration and worry!) One of their most unique products is the Rosemary Tea Tree line which repels and defends against lice! For parents who worry about their child(ren) and want to be proactive against those annoying insects, this is the perfect answer! Gentle enough for everyday use and I’m pretty sure it smells heavenly. I'd really like the Oatmeal and Calendula Moisturizing Baby Lotion I'm curious about the rosemary and tea tree- smelling stuff. I'm not really worried about lice control, but I have skin that breaks out and I know that tea tree oil helps to prevent that. I wonder if these would help? beth o 07/04/2010 3:19pm
I think I'd like to order the oatmeal and calendula wash. Interesting. I'm curious about the lice control products. It might be something to bring up to the nurse at the elementary school where I teach! Jackie @ 3 Little Ones 07/04/2010 10:03pm

I like to try different baby lotions so I'd love to try the Moisturizing Bably lotion. Lotion is a big part of our bedtime routine, so something that smells delicious and keeps his skin soft is a necessity in our house. Cynthia 07/06/2010 5:04pm

I generally stated, "life is like a publication, how would you like to write, it can be what kind of book. So our very own attitude determines living. Naturally, we should really go through a lot more meaningful guide, it can give us inspiration. 08/04/2010 8:25pm
